Be somebody

One of the most unexpectedly inspiring things I have watched, was a documentary on bbc 4 about Daft Punk. I stumbled upon it quite by accident when I paused the programme I’d been watching to put the kettle on. It told a story of two artists having a vision, staying on their own path, knowing their worth, pushing the boundaries of their art and of staying humble. I don’t think you need to be particularly interested in their music to be able to take something away from that ( it’s now on Netflix if you decide you want to watch it)
.
You may be wondering what on Earth this has to do with the picture … one of the anecdotes I loved was the story behind their name, which came from a scathing review in Melody Maker of an early gig, referring to the ‘daft punky music’ they played.

Amazing journey

I took an exciting print delivery yesterday, so this is to let you know that I’ve now updated my shop (link in bio) .
There are currently three options available ; A4 prints, A4 embellished prints (with a glittery disco ball stitched on – that’s right A DISCO BALL!!!) and the first few, which were printed just a bit too close to the edges to sit comfortably in a frame … I realised they’d still be perfect if you want to tape it to the wall, so I’ve listed them in the sale section as seconds. .

Believe in yourself

Did you know that the chance of you existing is pretty well non existent? The probability is 1 in 10 to the power of 2,695,000 (yes that’s right, a ten followed by 2,695,000 zeros) which means, by default, you really are pretty amazing. Now that we have established just how brilliant you are, I don’t think there’s much point in doubting yourself is there?

Courage is the key

Courage has many different guises; it might mean standing up in a room full of people to talk, speaking out for something you believe in, or following your heart. It can be a large gesture or something seemingly small. It could mean getting out of bed in the morning.
If you’re facing a situation where you feel like you need a little bit more courage, this is the perfect reminder to pin on your coat. I’ve uploaded this and the believe key to my website. I also know that life can need many keys ( it’s been half term for my kids this week, and patience is the main one I have needed!) so do get in touch if you’d like a key with a different word.

Happy dance

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a work in progress shot, so I thought I’d show you a little snippet of a new note picture that I’ve been working on. This one is called The amazing journey of an order. I decided to make it after all of the lovely comments and photo shares I get for my Thank you slip that I put in with my own orders

I obviously couldn’t leave out that happy dance feeling, and because it really does make me feel very happy getting an order I added a sparkly disco ball! .
