It’s reaching that time of year where we’re starting to think about Christmas – whether it’s frantically prepping for fairs, shop and online sales, starting to see flurries of orders coming in ?, or writing lists of things to gift. .
Whatever the reason, a shop small badge is the perfect addition to your cardie to wave the small (but mighty) flag for the small (but mighty) businesses. I have maker versions like this, which I splattered in paint or my regular blue, both of which are free motion embroidered with the teeny tiniest writing and available on my website. .

I wouldn’t want you to think that i have any favourites … because actually I love all the biscuits, especially the pretty ones! .
I’d like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for the suggestions for new food packaging pictures; I’ve got quite the list to work through, so there will be lots of new packaging pictures coming soon yay! Store cupboard

I’ve never thought to put all of my food pictures together before, but I’ve got quite the collection building up now!

Earlier in the year I asked you lovely lot for some advice on how to exhibit my work .. the resounding feedback was that I needed to build up a bit more of a body of work, and also that I needed to choose a few themes or collections of work to build up (all great advice!) which is what I went away and did!
.
So now I’ve ended up with nearly 20 food pictures (some literal and some tweaked) and the next thing I need to do is get them somewhere other than my workshop (which is starting to resemble a mini market) .
So I’m looking for more advice, and this time it’s where. Can you think of the perfect place to display these? Do you have the perfect space to show them? I’d really appreciate any ideas!

Did you know that the Coca Cola logo is based on a font called Spencerian script, which was popular in America between 1850 and 1925? I just love playing with and stitching different fonts! .

Finding motivation

Do you struggle to get started? Or maybe find it difficult to stay on track and keep motivated? Are you in more of a positivity place/keep going crescent mood or are you sitting in daydream drive? Either way, here’s just the map for you!

As this is my third A to Z picture, I decided to use a different layout this time – since starting to make these pictures, I’ve discovered there are a surprising number of layout variations on – who knew?! .
The next picture I make for this series (once I finish this one off of course!) will be on a larger scale, as this time I’ll be making one of the street maps inside the street atlas. And if you are local (or maybe even if you aren’t, but fancy a visit) you can watch me make it; Bristol Museum is hosting a stage of the V&A Woman’s hour craft prize touring exhibition, and I am very exited to have been selected to work in the make space attached to the show on the 19th July – which is my news for just a card week day 4!

New thank you cards to accompany the lovely orders I receive, have long been on my to do – and to make – list. I was doing some admin last week, and, like the procrastination queen that I am, managed to make a sketch for this picture instead of writing a bio about myself (aka the worlds worst job known to introverts). I’d say that this sums up perfectly what the @justacard campaign means to me.
